Diverse cases surfaced in UAE where employee’s rights were infringed or immigrants have been deported. If you’re in unsure about the mechanism and operation of law in UAE, this guide will help you. Read on to find out few of the most common questions immigrants ask before, during or after their stay in UAE.
In one of the most overarching question, a deportee asked whether he was permitted to re-enter UAE once he has been banned by the ministry. Prohibition to enter the UAE applies for life, a ban once placed applies for a life-time of the deportee. Article 28 of federal law no. 6 of 1973 puts such law in place. As per bare provision, “any alien who has been deported may not return to the country except with the special permission from the Ministry of Labour.”
As a last resort, the banned deportee may contact the General Directorate of Residence and Foreigners affair and file an application requesting the lift on ban. To ensure a safe climate prevails in UAE at all times, this strict law has been put to place.
